Stream Team is Channelkeeper's volunteer-based water quality monitoring program. Every month, volunteers join Channelkeeper staff to test for common water quality parameters at our established sampling sites throughout the Ventura River and Goleta Slough watersheds. Saturday - 9:00 AM - Ventura Stream Team
Come help us collect water quality data at 15 sites in the Ventura River watershed. The outing will last approximately 3-4 hours. We meet at the Ventura Surfrider office at 239 W. Main Street in Ventura, near Patagonia. From there we will travel by car to our sampling sites.
Sunday - 10:00 AM - Goleta Stream Team
Come help us collect water quality data at 13 sites in the Goleta Slough watershed. The outing will last 2-3 hours. We meet at the K-Mart parking lot on the corner of Hollister and Storke Road (look for us in the parking lot in front of the K-Mart garden center). From there we will travel by car to our sampling sites.
* Please be prepared to get your feet wet!
** Pizza and refreshments will be provided after the field work.
