Santa Barbara Channelkeeper's (SBCK) water sample testing results
reflect only sampling for a limited range of materials and elements, such
testing is periodic, any test results are reflective only of water conditions
at the time of testing relative to the bacteria tested, and such tests are
indicative only of the water sample tested and not of any water not tested. Any
user of testing result information acknowledges that test results may be
inaccurate because of error despite all attempts to ensure accuracy, and that
results may not reflect the general condition of the body of water sampled.
SBCK recommends that caution be employed when considering any water sampling
results and that no inference be made that waters are clean or safe.
Neither SBCK, nor its contributors shall be held liable for
any improper or incorrect use of the information described and/or contained on
our website regarding water quality results and assumes no responsibility for
anyone's use of the information. In no event shall SBCK or contributors be
liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or
consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute
goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption)
however caused, and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict
liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of
the use of its testing results, even if advised of the possibility of such
damage. This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury.
